Merry Christmas

We had such a great Christmas. Reagan had so much fun she was more involved in the unwrapping of gifts than I thought. She was lucky enough to be given tons of gifts from her Grandparents (All 6)! Even with all the presents her favorite part of Christmas was a Gold Bow on one of the packages. She is the greatest gift of all and I'm so blessed to have her. This was the best Christmas I've ever had all because of Reagan.

Holiday Cheer

On December 12th Matt's family arrived for a visit. We had a great weekend! Wes has been in the Persian Gulf for the past 9months serving our Country, seeing his face made me cry, I am so proud of him. We had a weekend packed with family fun, Mom cooked all of our favorite meals, Reagan played with her cousins, the guys had brother time, and I had girl time with my Sister in law, Mel and my mother in law. It was so wonderful to watch Matt and Wes "play" it has been two years since they have seen each other. There was some football action as well as a little guitar hero. I'm praying Wes, Mel, and the kids are able to move to Pensecola in October. We would be able to have weekend trips with our families. I already miss Emily saying EuEu Matt that's "Uncle Matt" for short...She melted his heart! We took some family pictures on Monday and then celebrated Christmas that evening. They had to head out on Tuesday and we already can't wait for our next visit.

Happy Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is the time of year when we reflect about what we are most thankful for, this year was easy for me. I’m most thankful for my amazing daughter Reagan. We spent the day at my cousin’s home in Temple Terrace. Like always I ate way to much and loved spending time with my family. Reagan had a lot of first this year she rode on a golf cart, played in a swing, and even spent some time on the basketball court with her Pops. She loved playing with her cousins and even ate some sweet potato's to celebrate the Thanksgiving Day!!!!

The Merry Market

The JLGWH hosted a Merry Market this weekend and it was a blast. It was a two day event where several vendors came to set up shopping booths. There were so many cute booths I don't know which one was my favorite. I was able to pick up some Christmas gifts and enjoy spending time with my family. On Saturday and we took Reagan to have her First picture with Santa. Mom, Matt, and I had no idea how she would react to Santa, but she loved him. She played with his beard most of the time and even smiled for the camera. I know we haven't celebrated Thanksgiving yet, but I had to put these adorable pictures of my little one getting ready to meet Santa for the first time.

Look Who's Eating Now

Reagan turned 6months on Friday. It is so hard to believe she is already 6months old-she truly is a blessing. For her big 6month checkup her Pediatrician said she was ready to be introduced to some food. So far we have tried Bananas and Peas, i think the Peas are actually her favorite. I was so proud of how well she learned the skill of eating she ate her bananas like a pro. After she ate most of her bananas it was time for her to have her bottle. She is getting so Big before we know it we will be celebrating her first birthday. Life is Grand!

GEAUX TIGERS

Reagan experienced her first LSU tailgate in Baton Rouge over the weekend. Unfortunately the Tigers did not pull out a WIN but it was an amazing Game. Matt and Heston went to the game but Aunt Ashley, Reagan, and I left after tailgating to have a girls afternoon. We love these two so much and are excited we were able to spend some time with the both of them. I do have to mention that FSU is ranked higher than LSU at the current time. Our house is divided and I had to take the time to mention that the NOLES did experience a Win!!!!!!! Just kidding Babe you know I love the Tigers too.

Family Times

We went to Baton Rouge last weekend to visit family and friends. Matt was born and raised in Baton Rouge and we went to visit his family. We had a great time and were so proud to introduce Reagan to her grandparents, great-grandparents, Aunt, and her cousins. The only one missing was his brother Wes who is serving our country, we miss you WES and are so proud of you! This was Reagan's first time flying and she did amazing. She also started a new sound while we were there, she makes bubbles and would get so tickeled everytime she made the noise. She is growing so much everyday and I hope we will be able to make the trip up again very soon.

Maci Katherine Young

Maci Katherine Young arrived on October 29th weighing in at 6lbs 3ounces. Maci is the daughter of my dearest friend Ashley. Ashley's water broke at 2:15am and at 3:49pm Maci arrived. Ashley and Joe both did an amazing job, they're going to be amazing parents. I'm so excited to watch the friendship between Reagan and Maci blossom, I know that they will feel more like sisters than friends. I know many family memories will be made with the Young family and I look forward to every single one of them. Congratulations Ashley and Joe!!!!!!!!

Carving the Pumpkin!

We carved our first pumpkin with Reagan on Saturday and had a blast. Matt did such a great job; I think he would win First Place in a Pumpkin Carving Contest! Reagan played in her bouncer while watching us carve the pumpkin. She was not to sure what we were doing but had a great time watching us. Her smile will melt your heart and her laughter brightens your day. The weather was beautiful, football was on, and we enjoyed a perfect fall evening.

Pumpkin Patch

Reagan went to her first Pumpkin Patch today and she sure had a good time. She picked out the biggest pumpkin for us to carve. I guess she knows she'll be watching Mom and Dad struggle and that delights her! She loved being outside today in the beautiful weather we're having and even fell fast to sleep on the way home. Picking out pumpkins can be exhausting. I know we'll have many more days like this in the coming years but today was one of the greatest days. Just being out and about with my family sure made me appreciate all the many blessing I have.

Mom's Retirement

After 32 years of teaching my mom retired to watch Reagan. It has been such a blessing having Mom's help and support. I had a surprise Retirement party for her on Saturday at the Magnolia Tea Room in Auburndale. It was a small gathering-Laura, Meylin, and Susan from the "POD" came, as well as, Mama and Aunt Sharon. Uncle Raymond even came in for a surprise visit. Chyanne Laura's beautiful granddaughter was there and she was such a big help with Reagan. We had a great time honoring Mom and it was so awesome to see the shock on her face when she arrived.

Kelly's Kids Party

Tonight Grammy, Reagan, and I attended a Kelly's Kids party. Its kids’ clothes designed to mix, match & coordinate. Grammy bought Reagan the cutest little outfits-she is already totally into fashion!!! I will be hosting a party soon so get ready to mark your calendars.

Tree of Life

On Thursday, September 25th we attended the Tree of Life ceremony at Good Shepherd Hospice in memory of my grandfather Anthony David Norka. It was a beautiful ceremony and the staff of Hospice once again went above and beyond their calling. Every family in attendance received a leaf in honor of their loved one. Reagan was able to attend the ceremony and see where her great grandfather spent his last few days. It was a beautiful day and we were able to once again feel his presence. Thank you to all the staff of Good Shepherd Hospice-You truly make a difference.

OH NO, THE POWER OF TEETHING!

Reagan is Four months today and she is TEETHING! I had no idea the effects that teething brought on. She has ran a fever for a few days now and has no desire to eat. As first time parents, Matt and I panic at the first sign of fever, a thousand questions run through your head(Should I call the Doctor, Should we go to ER, Why is she crying, etc). Then you have to sit down take a deep breath and know that she will be alright-every child goes through this and in a couple of weeks she'll have her very FIRST TOOTH! Here is a cute picture of her waking up from a nap-she slept so hard that her paci stuck to her cheek.

FSU TAILGATE!!!!!!!

Reagan and her Grammy geered up to cheer on the Noles on September 13th at our first FSU TAILGATE. We (the fsu tailgaters) decided not to make the trips to Tally this year but rotate games at our homes. We hosted the first game with my parents and had a great time. It was fun to be with friends and cheer on the Noles. Towards the end of the game we had a very unfortunate accident when Emily cut her foot requiring her to get 19stitches-she was so brave and is such a little trooper. We have such good friends and loved spending time with them and their families. The next game will be hosted by the Longs/Myers and we can't wait-GO NOLES!!!!!!!!
As you can see Reagan lights up everytime she is with her GRAMMY!!!!!

Family Beach Trip

The family went on our first beach trip this weekend. We decided to go to Cocoa Beach, it was beautiful. It was a little windy but we had a good time. Our good friend Wendy Morris gave us a pack n play and it worked out perfect. I can't count the number of items Wendy has blessed us with-we love Aunt Wendy! Reagan had a great time she enjoys the beach(just like her pops). Matt rented a surf board and realized he is not 25 anymore.

Beach vacations are definitely on the agenda for years to come.

Matt Has a New Ride!

On Thursday, Matt brought home his new vehicle-a Nissan Pathfinder! He's been wanting a new car for a while and finally took the plunge. We can all fit in his car finally, he needs lots of room with a wife, daughter, two dogs, and of course the Golf Clubs. When he drove up I thought he picked such a fabulous color(Go Noles) he says they were out of Purple but I think he is starting to convert. Reagan will be taking her first ride today in Pop's new car we're going to buy a tent for the big beach trip next weekend. If you see us out on the road give us a honk!
